new R Meta series uses the 12th generation Uni-Q coaxial unit
The technical characteristics of new products are introduced by KEF Product Training Manager Zhu Hong. R series products are developed based on high-end Reference series. This new product is designed to provide higher sound quality and cost performance, and has a stylish appearance that conforms to the modern home style. The most important feature of the R Meta series is the use of metamaterial sound absorption technology (MAT™) jointly developed by KEF and Acoustic Metamaterials Group. MAT™ is used in Uni-Q coaxial units, which can absorb 99% of high-frequency back waves, thereby better reducing high-frequency distortion. Moreover, the R Meta series also uses KEF's current highest performance Uni-Q 12th generation coaxial unit-this is KEF has always been proud of technology. The mid-bass unit also uses KEF's self-developed longer-stroke hybrid aluminum bass unit, which can bring deep, dense and stable bass effects. At the same time, the design of the frequency divider is also optimized according to the characteristics of the unit.

R Meta series has 7 models, including R11 Meta, R7 Meta and R5 Meta floor speakers, shelf speakers R3 Meta,R6 Meta and R2 Meta two center speakers (which can also be used as LCR channels in home theaters), and surround speakers R8 Meta. The R8 Meta is special in that it can be hung on the wall as a surround sound speaker or placed on top of the main speaker as a Dolby Atmos Enabled speaker. In terms of appearance, each model of the R Meta series has three panel colors: bright black, bright white and walnut. Its low-key and restrained design concept and carefully modulated color matching complement each other, can be skillfully integrated into the traditional or modern home style. In addition, there are exclusive panel color versions of speakers, including R7 Meta bright titanium special edition and R3 Meta bright indigo special edition.
